FAQ

  • You will need to prep your greenhouse site with gravel before delivery. We highly recommend creating a gravel site pad, which should be placed on top of weed tarp and lined with cedar. For optimal drainage, a depth of 4-5 inches of gravel is recommended.

Upon delivery, your greenhouse will be placed directly on the prepared gravel site pad. This provides a solid foundation and helps to keep your greenhouse level and stable. Please make sure your site pad is accessible with a truck and trailer. (No low overhead wires, narrow gates, etc.) If this is not possible, we will work with you to find a solution to either build on-site (additional fees apply) or when accessible, we can crane your greenhouse onto its site pad.

  • We offer complimentary delivery within a 50-mile radius of Norris, Montana. For destinations beyond this range, a delivery fee of $4 per loaded mile is applied for delivery within the state of Montana. For neighboring states, the delivery fee is set at $5 per loaded mile. We deliver up to 10 hours from Norris, MT.

  • You are welcome to have the option to pick up your greenhouse if it is outside our delivery zone. However, it is essential to have a trailer that can accommodate an oversized load. Please ensure that your trailer is suitable for transporting the greenhouse safely as it requires additional space.

  • Rest assured, our greenhouses are built to handle snow effectively and provide a durable and reliable shelter throughout the winter months. We construct them with a 12-pitch roof design, featuring a steep roof angle. This design allows snow to easily slide off the roof, preventing excessive weight accumulation that could potentially damage the structure.

  • To address temperature control and avoid overheating, our greenhouses are equipped with automatic opening roof vents. These vents help to promote airflow and regulate the internal temperature.

For further temperature management, we offer the option to add a fan to your greenhouse. This fan serves a dual purpose by enhancing air circulation and ventilation, particularly during warm summer months. The fan operates automatically and includes a controller with a probe. Once the temperature reaches a specific threshold (e.g., 82 degrees, as per your desired setting), the fan kicks on automatically. For added convenience, you can connect this controller to your phone using an app.

  • Our greenhouses are built with durability in mind and are capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions and strong winds all year round. However, it is important to note that while greenhouses are designed to extend the growing season, they may not be suitable for year-round cultivation, particularly in northern climates like Montana. The number of comfortable months your greenhouse will provide depends on the climate of your specific location.

Greenhouses can retain heat efficiently after being exposed to sunlight, and the temperature inside can stay warm even after the sun sets. If desired, adding a small heater can be a great option for growing tomatoes or maintaining warmth during colder months.

  • Our greenhouses are constructed using sustainable and long-lasting Cedar for the exterior siding and planter beds. As a result, the upkeep for our greenhouses is minimal. To keep your greenhouse looking its best, we recommend re-staining the exterior every 1-5 years, based on the weather conditions in your particular location to help ensure the wood remains protected and maintains its natural beauty over time.

  • Ultimately, the possibilities are limited only by your imagination. We love working with our clients to customize a unique and nurturing greenhouse layout that brings beauty and tranquility into their lives. Whether you want to create a serene meditation space, set up a hydroponic system for year-round cultivation, or even convert it into a workspace for hobbies, a greenhouse provides a flexible and customizable environment to explore your passions. Here are some of ways we’ve seen our customers use their greenhouses over the years:

    • Plant propagation, as greenhouses provide an ideal environment for starting seeds.

    • Extending the growing season for vegetables and herbs.

    • Flower and ornamental plant cultivation for plants that cannot last outside in the winter months.

    • Tropical or exotic plant collection for those that may not thrive in your local climate.

    • Using the greenhouse as a workspace for potting, pruning, and tending to plants.

    • As a relaxation retreat and tranquil oasis, complete with seating areas and cozy nooks to unwind, read, or enjoy your plants.

    • An artist's studio or creative space for painting, drawing, writing, woodworking, and exploring other artistic pursuits
